Sub:- Public Service - Ensuring the residence or Government Employees at their Headquarters - Regarding.

In the G.O. cited Government have instructed all controlling officers to take immediate steps to ensure that all officers and employees under their control reside at Headquarters and are available at their Headquarters for urgent call or duty and further directed the Administrative Secretaries and Heads of Departments to take action against the staff violating the instructions.
2. The Government have received complaints that the orders issued in G.O.Ms.No. 20, Finance & Planning (FW.TA) Department, dated 8-2-2001 are not being complied with. Government reiterate the instructions issued in the G.O. cited and hereby instruct that all controlling officers shall ensure that all employees and officers under their control reside at their respective Headquarters. Necessary disciplinary action shall be taken against the staff who violate these instructions.
